I am an artist and teacher living in Vermont and Massachusetts. I have been working exclusively in clay for the last 25 years, coming from a background in fine art. The work of sculptors and painters from the mid-century and classical eras influence my work as much as the Japanese potters who I have been lucky enough to consider my mentors. I continue to be fascinated with the atmospheric firings of wood and gas at high temperatures.
